Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Media Planning to lead our Strategic Solutions team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical media landscape and a proven track record of developing and executing successful media strategies. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and the ability to drive innovation in media planning. Experience in pharma media is required, with exposure and level of comfort analyzing media partner opportunities and performance data across both HCP and DTC audiences. Candidates should exhibit knowledge across all media channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive media plans for pharmaceutical clients.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to media planners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure media strategies align with overall marketing objectives.
- Have full working knowledge of media partners and vendors.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging media technologies to drive innovation.
- Analyze media performance data to optimize campaigns and deliver actionable insights.
- Present media strategies and performance reports to clients and senior leadership.
- Be a strategic partner to clients.
- Participate in new business opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
- 10-12+ years of experience in media planning, with a focus on the pharmaceutical industry.
- Deep pharmaceutical media planning experience.
- Significant experience in both HCP and DTC media planning.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
- In-depth knowledge of media planning tools and software.
- Experience in and knowledge of research tools a plus (e.g., Kantar, Infegy).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
