We seek a Vice President of Client Development to spearhead revenue generation, drive new business development, and lead marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in life science agencies, a strong network within the industry, and the ability to effectively communicate the value of our services to prospective clients. This role requires strategic thinking, exceptional leadership, and a passion for driving growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive revenue and marketing strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Create strategic assets to enhance win rates with qualified prospective clients.
  • Gather and analyze competitive intelligence to inform business development efforts.
  • Craft compelling pitch stories and presentations to increase success rates.
  • Maintain a library of pitch assets for future use.
  • Meet revenue targets, including acquiring 2-4 new accounts in 2024 and sustaining growth thereafter.
  • Leverage professional network to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Attend industry conferences to network and generate leads.
  • Direct top-of-the-funnel activities to drive lead generation.
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with partner agencies and industry contacts.
  • Identify new sources of lead referrals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize processes and workflows.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to the Director of Marketing across various marketing initiatives, including PR, content marketing, email marketing, retention marketing, lifecycle marketing, and social media.
  • Ensure marketing campaigns increase brand visibility and drive customer acquisition.
  • Collaborate with client services to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of the life sciences advertising industry, preferably with media experience.
  • 10+ years of experience, with at least 6 years in a Director, VP, or SVP role overseeing revenue generation and marketing functions.
  • Proficiency in sales processes, customer acquisition strategies, and marketing techniques.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving business objectives.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • High emotional intelligence and strong collaboration skills.
