Job Description:
The Media Director plays a key leadership role on the media team, overseeing the successful day-to-day management of assigned client multichannel media engagements. This position requires proven success in managing multichannel media engagements and solving complex business challenges. While technical media expertise is beneficial, it is not required. The ideal candidate will excel in developing strategic media plan recommendations that align with clients' business goals and ensuring the successful implementation of media strategies. Flexibility and willingness to travel are essential, as this role involves client-facing responsibilities and support for new business pursuits.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day management of assigned client multichannel media engagements.
- Develop strategic media plan recommendations aligned with clients' business goals.
- Coordinate and deconflict media execution to ensure successful implementation.
- Provide clear and detailed direction to media channel teams, including media partner recommendations, program performance reporting, and day-to-day responsibilities.
- Passionately pursue data-driven and strategic recommendations, pushing the team forward in thinking, structure, and industry trends understanding.
- Maximize the performance of media while supporting the evolution of client engagements.
- Build strong relationships with internal departments and external partners.
- Present recommendations orally and in writing with confidence and clarity.
- Maintain a critical thinking approach and utilize creative problem-solving skills.
- Understand campaign metrics and key performance indicators to drive informed decision-making.
- Demonstrate strong technical skills, including proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, media terminology, and relevant applications.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and new vendor programs to inform media strategies.
- Ensure that plan recommendations deliver on media strategy and client objectives.
- Manage multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
Expectations:
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in Digital Media and Media Planning.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare category is preferred.
- Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills are essential.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to articulate ideas confidently.
- Ability to follow through on tasks and maintain attention to detail.
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and media applications.
- Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to staying informed about industry trends and new vendor programs.
