The account director is the main contact for the client and creative agencies, responsible for developing and cultivating strong relationships, account retention, and account growth. The account director ensure that the client organization and ours are always operating in alignment, providing insights and coaching to the extended team on actions to ensure we are successful.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Foster and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted voice for client needs
- Interpret client needs for internal stakeholders, collaborating to find the appropriate solution
- Is a brand champion, understanding brand goals, strategies, competitors, and targets to enable strategic conversations with clients
- Ask the tough questions and navigate account challenges, setting client expectations where needed
- Oversees financial health of accounts, and assists in client projections, forecasting, and reconciliations on a monthly and annual basis
- Actively participate and contribute to strategic media planning and ensures media team has a strong understanding of client’s objectives and strategies
- Partners with project management on day to day needs of individual accounts, helping to facilitate tactical needs and ensure client projects are delivered on time with flawless execution
- Stays abreast of industry trends both in the media and pharma/healthcare space
- Participant in new business RFPs and pitches as assigned
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in agency setting, with minimum of 2 years in pharmaceutical/healthcare
- Direct experience in client management
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- PPT, Excel, Word proficiency
